Catherine Gunn is the Director of Health Sciences and Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Education in the Faculty of Health at Dalhousie University. She holds a BSc from McGill University, an MBA from Saint Mary’s University and MRT from The Michener Institute.
She currently teaches in undergraduate medical imaging programs and is cross appointed to Radiation Oncology in the Faculty of Medicine. Her research focuses primarily on quality improvement through dose reduction in medical imaging with a focus on the pediatric population.
Catherine has been actively involved with IWK’s Family Leadership Council since 2010, serving as co-chair for 4 years. She also served as co-chair of the Canadian Family Advisory Network.
With the launch of Dalhousie student clinics for Lung Health and UItrasound in 2025, Catherine consistently strives to look for innovative ways to partner learner placement and patient care.
Outside of work Catherine spends time with her husband, two teenagers and a rescue pup.
