Grace MacIntyre

Research Assistant

Grace graduated from Dalhousie University with a BSc in Health Promotion (2025). She first joined the IWK in 2024 as a summer student in the Strengthening Transitions in Care Lab co-directed by Dr. Christine Cassidy. She has since worked as a Research Assistant with Dr. Cassidy on projects related to the transition from pediatric to adult care, integrated knowledge transition, and clinical decision-making. Recently, Grace completed a Mitacs Accelerate Internship with Maritime Child Health where she led a study to understand patients’ and caregivers’ needs, values, and perspectives related to engagement in a health-equity focused pediatric learning health system. Currently, as a Research Assistant with Maritime Child Health, Grace collaborates closely with the Maritime Child Health team and key partners to support patient-oriented research and youth, family, and public engagement. In her free time, she enjoys baking and cooking, listening to podcasts, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
