Bladder Health Clinic

The Bladder Health Clinic is a part of the Maritime Centre for Pelvic Floor Health (MCPFH), a multidisciplinary clinic designed to provide timely and appropriate options for management and early intervention of incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Pelvic floor issues are common and, as the population ages, we are seeing an increase in the number of people with these life-altering conditions.

In the Bladder Health Clinic people with urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse will be assessed by a nurse continence advisor or a nurse practitioner. They will receive individualized education and non-surgical treatments. Education may include lifestyle and dietary changes, pelvic floor muscle strengthening, and bladder retraining. Treatments may include pessary fitting and medications.
