Originally from Miramichi, New Brunswick, Julia Donahue has spent her career helping organizations navigate business and IT transformations. She is currently the Vice President, People & Culture at Property Valuation Services Corporation in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Previously, Julia worked as a management consultant with Mara Consulting and Sierra Systems, specializing in organizational change, training, communications and project management, and was an instructor with the Nova Scotia Community College.
Julia holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo, a Masters of Business Administration from Saint Mary's University, and is a certified professional in Human Resources and Organizational Change Management.
Julia is a dedicated advocate for person-centred care, having been an IWK patient partner since 2010 and currently serving as co-chair of the IWK Family Leadership Council. In these roles, she volunteers her time to promote person-centred practices throughout the health centre and the Maritimes. Julia has also contributed as a funding panel member for United Way Halifax and as a faculty member for a Patient Engagement Collaborative with the Canadian Patient Safety Institute. Presently, she is the Board Chair of the Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education.
Julia currently resides in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia with her twin boys.
