Margaret Champion is the interim Director of Integrated Youth Services Nova Scotia.
Margaret holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and a Master of Health Administration from Dalhousie University. She is a registered occupational therapist in Nova Scotia and holds the Certified Health Executive designation from the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
Margaret was previously the Dean of the School of Health and Human Services at the Nova Scotia Community College where she provided leadership in academic planning and delivery, addressing critical workforce shortages. Margaret built and maintained partnerships with multiple government, regulatory, community and industry partners to ensure that academic programming fostered student success while meeting sector needs.
Prior to her NSCC leadership role, she was a Director at the IWK for 7 years holding leadership positions with Human Resources, Interprofessional Practice and Children’s Medical Care and Rehabilitation Services.
