Thomas Raffy is Associate Vice President, Public Affairs and Philanthropy at Assumption Life, a 124-year-old mutual insurer headquartered in Moncton, New Brunswick, where he leads corporate communications, government relations, and community investment. A lawyer by training, he previously served as CEO of le Conseil économique du Nouveau-Brunswick, working closely with business, community, and government leaders across the province.
Thomas serves as Chair of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton. He has previously served as Chair of the Capitol Theatre Board of Directors, on the Federal Judicial Advisory Committee for New Brunswick, and as Chair of the Law Society of New Brunswick's Equity and Social Justice Committee.
Bilingual and deeply engaged in New Brunswick's francophone community, Thomas brings to the IWK Board a perspective grounded in public accountability, inclusive governance, and community health.
