We are actively reviewing and expanding our testing menu to meet the needs of patients in the Maritimes. See the IWK CGL Test Menu - with restrictions and gene content in the document section below for the most up to date information. If a test you are interested in ordering isn't on our Test Menu please reach out to clinicalgenomics.gc@iwk.nshealth.ca to discuss or provide additional details with your test order and we will follow up with you directly. Ordering providers will be informed if their test of choice will be performed in-house and will no longer be referred out to an external laboratory.
Diagnostic genetic testing may be restricted ordering provider’s clinical specialty, the patients clinical presentation and the clinical utility of testing. Predictive and familial carrier testing is restricted to the Maritime Medical Genetics Service (MMGS).
