The IWK Respiratory Therapy team provides advanced respiratory support to newborns, children, and adults as a centre-wide service. They are integral members of the interprofessional teams that provide critical care in the NICU(and Birth Unit), PICU, Emergency Department and Air Medical Transport. They’re also key members of the Cardiac Arrest, Trauma, Neonatal Resuscitation, Rapid Response, and ECLS teams. RTs also work in Respirology (Complex Respiratory Clinic) and Pulmonary Function Testing.

Josh Healey of Saltwire profiled one of these IWK heroes, Jessica Carew.
