Brick by brick, a fun new installation is giving a small-scale glimpse into IWK Health’s big future.

Come check out the LEGO model of the upcoming IWK Emergency Department, now on display in the Goldbloom Pavillion in the IWK Health Centre.

Approximately 25,000 LEGO elements were used to create a scale model of the exterior of the new Emergency Department including an interior model of one of its trauma rooms.

This LEGO project was built by award-winning LEGO Brick Artist Shawn McLeod of Halifax-based design company HOLDFAST Bricks and was made possible through the generosity of the IWKFoundation and its Emergency Department-Excellence in Design Fund.
