IWK patients and families are advised that from March 29 - 31, 2026, the Children’s Emergency Department entrance, on South Street, will be temporarily closed. During this time, all patient and family access to the Emergency Department will be via the South Street Entrance of the Children’s Building (see map).
Getting where you need to go
Once inside, follow the directional signage, or ask any IWK staff member for help at any time.
Patient and Families who need care at IWK Emergency Department are welcome to use the APSEA parking lot across the street. Traffic control personnel will be onsite to assist.
