Centre for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility

The Centre for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the IWK is committed to advancing reproductive health through innovative research, inclusive clinical care, and strong regional, national, and international partnerships.

The Centre’s mandate is to expand knowledge in reproductive endocrinology and infertility through integrated research programs that support the discovery of novel biomarkers, the development of targeted therapies, and the translation of research findings into meaningful improvements in clinical practice. Building on established collaborations with Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia Health, and Atlantic fertility, the Centre strengthens research integration, advances education and training opportunities, and contributes to national and international multicentre studies.

Equity, diversity, and inclusion are central to the Centre’s mission, with a dedicated focus on addressing disparities in reproductive healthcare experienced by 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, Indigenous populations, rural residents, and individuals facing socioeconomic barriers to care.

Fully aligned with the IWK’s mission and values, the Centre for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility enhances research capacity, supports excellence in the Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility subspecialty, and improves reproductive health outcomes for individuals, families, and communities across Nova Scotia and the Maritimes.
