Physiotherapists at the IWK help women, children, and youth achieve their highest level of physical functioning by providing them with a personalized treatment plan based on their specific needs. We help children and youth with challenges related to cardiorespiratory, neurological or musculoskeletal conditions, and women with musculoskeletal issues related to obstetrical or gynecological conditions.
How we help
We provide assessment, treatment, and consultation to assist children/youth/women in obtaining their highest level of function. Physiotherapists are members of care teams throughout the IWK, on an outpatient and inpatient basis. We also provide community outreach to schools, daycares and homes as appropriate in partnership with community caregivers.
