The IWK's Reproductive Endocrine Centre helps by offering initial assessment and screening of men and women with fertility challenges, including diagnostic procedures and blood work.
How we help
The initial visit will include consultation, and may involve diagnostic procedures in clinic, bloodwork investigations and/or procedures in the diagnostic imaging department. Initial treatment options will be discussed, and follow up arranged. Referrals to a psychologist or psychiatrist with special interest in fertility issues can also be organized if needed.
If assisted reproductive therapies are needed, such as intrauterine insemination, donor insemination, or in vitro fertilisation, the patient should be directly referred to the Atlantic Assisted Reproductive Therapies (AART). More information about AART’s services.
