IWK Health in collaboration with Nova Scotia Health has launched a Hip Surveillance Program for children and youth with Cerebral Palsy.
Hip surveillance is a plan for regular check-ups of your child’s hips. Children and youth with cerebral palsy (CP) are at higher risk for their hip sliding or being out of the joint. Hip surveillance aims to pick up on these problems so that they can be treated early.
Information resources for families are available in the Related Documents section on the right of this page and include:
- General Information Sheet
- Family Information Package
- Registration Form
- Nova Scotia Hip Surveillance Program Flow Chart
- Clinical Exam Form
