Jennifer Jeffrey, PMP

Project Manager, Integrated Youth Services Nova Scotia

(she/her)

Prior to joining the IWK, Mental Health and Addictions Program, Jennifer graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a degree in Psychology. Upon graduation, Jennifer secured a position at a local marketing research firm where she advanced through various roles (data entry, software programming, coordination, management, consulting etc.) until she secured a role in Project Management. Jennifer worked for various clients around the world, but her passion was in healthcare and health research. In 2013, she was fortunate to join the IWK Mental Health and Addictions Program as a project manager. Over the years her role transitioned to include a provincial scope and in January 2023, she joined the IYS-NS team.

Jennifer has always had a passion and interest in helping people who are experiencing mental health and addictions challenges. Her work in the MHA program has enabled her to apply her project management skills to support the clinical teams by helping to streamline processes and pathways for staff and youth, introducing new technologies to use in care and supporting the teams with training and technical support where needed.

Jennifer’s family and personal relations are extremely important to her. She lives with her partner of 16 years and is a mom to three furbabies (cats) who are loved dearly. Jennifer is also a big advocate for human and animal rights. In her spare time, she loves walking and hiking, reading fiction novels and going to RPM (spin) classes at good life fitness. Jennifer grew up in Unama’kik (Cape Breton Island) and has been a proud resident of Kjipuktuk (Halifax) since 1999.
