Accreditation

Accreditation is an ongoing process of assessing health and social services organizations against standards of excellence to identify what’s being done well and what needs to be improved. Accreditation provides an independent, third-party assessment of the organization and is conducted every four years by Accreditation Canada. Accreditation is an important means of regularly evaluating the services we provide to ensure we continue to deliver the highest standard of quality of care for women, children, youth, and families.

Accredited with Exemplary Standing

Following the most recent on-site survey by Accreditation Canada, in May 2019, IWK Health was Accredited with Exemplary Standing. This is the highest standing that can be granted to organizations assessed by Accreditation Canada.
